2012 Winemakers Choice Clare Valley Riesling

This Riesling possesses a clear medium to deep straw colour with a bright golden hue. It balances the typical Clare Valley Riesling characters of kerosene and lemon/lime citrus notes. There are some underlying dried fruit characters, such as apricot, peach and some honey blossom. All of the flavours above are coming through nicely on the palate and the wine is drinking beautifully for its age. The acidity of its younger years has mellowed out and has become more integrated and soft.
